Typical German Cakes (1) (FEINE KUCHEN/SONNTAGSKUCHEN)

FEINE SONNTAGSKUCHEN

Träubeleskuchen

Swabia is a part of southern Germany.  It's people has a long history but I'm not going into that now.
Today, they are famous for their cars Mercedes and Porsche and their dialect which is always being teased.
One of their beer tent sing-a-long/chant goes like this............

ZICKE  ZACKE  ZICKE  ZACKE,
   HOI  HOI  HOI  !!

What is really typical swabian?
Of course, it's food again.   That's what Simplybest/Fressgass is all about.
To name a few typical schwabian/swabian traditional eats -
Flädlesuppe (home-made broth with strips of pancake),
Maultaschen (Swabian ravioli) and Spatzle (Swabian pasta).
Great hearty meal for the cold winter months.

Not forgeting CAKES - Swabian cheese cake, swabian apple cake, swabian red current cake (träubleskuchen). It's almost a culture to be able to present to guests these cakes, declaring  that they're 'homemade' without starting long discussions, looong discussions accompanied with cakes and steaming hot coffee

Stachelbeeren Baiser Torte

 Klassischer Käsekuchen

Eierschecke

Florentiner Apfelkuchen
